Our story He
didn’t like playing Little League baseball.
He stuck with it for three years and finally said, “Dad, this really
isn’t my favorite thing, do I have to?”
I realized then that Little League was me, he was somebody else. The baseball glove got replaced with a red
electric guitar and, after a six year evolution, it’s now all about the
music; the music he makes and the music we all share. As a family, we have been to well over 100
concerts and we have organized a few.
We
now have a tour guide in the pursuit of soundtracks for our lives and it has
made me realize that bringing the “best bands you have never heard of” to others would be a good thing; good for
those whose only source is commercial pop channels, and good for the
wonderful and creative musicians who deserve to be heard. We
have a long list … so let’s just see where this goes. |
